== History ==
The website was founded by Vath and launched on December 16, 2022, announced in a thread on /soy/, later moved to /q/<ref>https://archive.marge.moe/q/thread/65222# ([https://archive.ph/qTZp2 Archived])</ref>. The thread itself was not very successful but several users chose to try the site.
 
[[Sidson]], being a relatively new and unknown variant, although somewhat popular for a while, is a new concept for [[Soyjak.party|Sharty]] users. Still, several people are already contributing OC [[Gem|gems]] to the site.
 
The first general in /sid/ was Froge General /frg/<ref>http://sidson.city/sidson/sid/res/8.html ([https://archive.ph/S7PGw Archived])</ref>, based on the NAS [[Forced_meme#Froge|Froge variant]], banned on the Sharty's /soy/.
 
In a hilarious case of irony, it was the only splinter to survive the August 14 [[Soypocalypse]], due its overwhelming popularity.
 
On September 14th, 2023, the website went offline but 14 days later it was back up to varying results. And then it went offline again sometime in October.{{cn}}
 
A bit ago I Forget when. Some deplorable nigger spammed 'p on the sidty and because this site is a DNB there weren't even any jannies to goon to it and it stayed up for Soot knows how long until a GIGACHAD incinerated the 'p. While that was happening doe soyteens (probably on the orders of Quote who was the one who spammed the 'p in the first place) 'aped this 'ki leading to me having to clean it up (doebeit the I LOVE SHIT article is a gem and WILL be kept)
 
As of October 1st, 2025, the site is still live.
